UNM American Chemical Society Student Chapter

Our organization is dedicated to fostering a collaborative and engaging environment for students interested in STEM, with a particular focus on the chemical sciences. We provide opportunities for members to connect with other students, develop technical communication skills, and gain hands-on experience in presenting scientific material. Through workshops, conferences, seminars, and student-led discussions, we help build confidence in scientific communication and critical thinking to help us grow as scientists!
Beyond academic development, we are committed to bridging the gap between students and the broader community. We organize volunteer initiatives, outreach programs, and partnerships with local organizations to promote STEM education and awareness. Whether it's hosting chemistry demonstrations for young learners, collaborating with professionals and researchers, or participating in sustainability projects, our chapter strives to inspire curiosity and enthusiasm for STEM fields while instilling a strong sense of professional identity in the chemical sciences.
