Light refreshments and \u201cselfie station\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5:15 pm Grand Awards Ceremony \u2013 UNM Student Union Building<br>Awards Ceremony is by invite only. Student winners, parents\/guardians and teachers will be notified on Saturday if they have won an award and are invited to attend the ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Awards for 2026 Research Challenge<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Top of Category Awards (all divisions: Elementary, Junior, Senior)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1st Place: $100, medal, certificate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2nd Place: $75, medal, certificate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3rd Place: $50, medal, certificate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Honorable Mention: medal and certificate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Top Junior Division Awards<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1st Place (Life Science) &amp; 1st Place (Physical Science) &#8211; $250<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2nd Place (Life Science) &amp; 2nd Place (Physical Science) &#8211; $200<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3rd Place (Life Science) &amp; 3rd Place (Physical Science) &#8211; $150<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge<\/strong><br>Awarded to the 1st and 2nd place winners of EACH category in the Junior Division<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Junior Division First &amp; Second Place: Certificate and an invitation to submit project to national competition<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Regional Representatives to the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF)<\/strong><br>Top projects will be named ISEF Finalists and compete at ISEF in May, 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Senior Division Excellence Award: Expense paid trip to Columbus, OH to compete in ISEF (awarded to top placing individual or team projects; up to four projects will advance)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Junior Division Excellence Award: Expense paid trip to Columbus, OH to attend ISEF as a student observer (awarded to the top placing 8th grade student)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ISEF Finalist Awards sponsored by Nusenda Credit Union<\/strong><br>Awarded to each regional ISEF qualifier and observer (funds will be split evenly among team members for any team projects that qualify).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Excellence Award: $250<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Special Awards<\/strong><br>A full listing of special awards are available for viewing in our \u201cBooklet of Awards&#8221;.
